Spiritbox have shared a horror-themed video for their hellacious new single Cellar Door.

The Canadian metal force embraces the heavier side of their musical output on Cellar Door, providing the perfect musical accompaniment to the director Orie McGinness's horrifying visuals. The video which you can watch below wouldn't look out of place in our list of the 13 scariest metal video clips of all time.

Cellar Door is the third single to be lifted from Spirtbox's forthcoming EP The Fear of Fear, with the track joining Jaded and The Void in previewing the release.

To celebrate the second birthday of their game-changing debut full-length Eternal Blue, last month the band unveiled a custom Nintendo Switch controller

Announced via their X account, the Eternal Blue controller collaborates with US videogame peripherals distributor Hyperskin.

The Eternal Blue-based controllers are inspired by the blue/black colour scheme of the album cover, while the symbols used as shorthand for song titles on the release feature on the control as well.  The controllers look incredible, however, fans eager to snap one up will have to be patient to do so, as the band has yet to announce the official release date, stating only that they'll "be available this holiday season".

The band also shared a video for their Meta accounts thanking fans for all the support they received since Eternal Blue dropped two years ago.

One of our top 20 albums of 2021, Eternal Blue established Spiritbox as one of the most prevalent and rapidly rising forces in modern music.

Fronted by  Courtney LaPlante, who also serves as one-half of the band’s primary songwriting duo with her husband, guitarist Michael Stringer, the band’s unique hybrid of metallic styles, paranormal-infused visual aesthetic and marketing nous has catapulted them to the brink of superstardom. Thanks to the strength of  Holy RollerBlessed Be, Constance and Circle With Me. Last year we spoke to vocalist Courtney LaPlante all about the band's rise to metal stardom.
