To celebrate the second birthday of their game-changing debut full-length Eternal Blue, Canadian metalcore monoliths Spiritbox have unveiled a custom Nintendo Switch controller

Announced via their X account, the Eternal Blue controller is a collaboration with US videogame peripherals distributor Hyperskin.

The Eternal Blue-based controllers are inspired by the blue/black colour scheme of the album cover, while the symbols used as shorthand for song titles on the release feature on the control as well.

The controllers look incredible, however, fans eager to snap one up will have to be patient to do so, as the band has yet to announce the official release date, stating only that they'll "be available this holiday season".

The band also shared a video for their Meta accounts thanking fans for all the support they received since Eternal Blue dropped two years ago.

One of our top 20 albums of 2021, Eternal Blue established Spiritbox as one of the most prevalent and rapidly rising forces in modern music. Fronted by  Courtney LaPlante, who also serves as one-half of the band’s primary songwriting duo with her husband, guitarist Michael Stringer, the band’s unique hybrid of metallic styles, paranormal-infused visual aesthetic and marketing nous have catapulted them to the brink of superstardom. Thanks to the strength of  Holy RollerBlessed Be, Constance and Circle With Me. Last year we spoke to vocalist Courtney LaPlante all about the band's rise to metal stardom.

The band dropped a massive single last month, JadedJaded comes from the freshly announced EP The Fear of Fear. A five-track offering set for a November 3rd release via Rise Records/Pale ChordThe Fear of Fear, which also contains the previous single The Void, looks to continue the band's seemingly endless ascent to the top of the modern heavy music pile.

Watch the video for Jaded below.

Jaded arrives in the wake of Spiritbox's standout performances at the inaugural Knotfest Australia and accompanying sold-out headline sideshows. Arguably the hottest band in heavy music, The Courtney LaPlante-fronted act continues to challenge convention with The Fear of Fear which follows 2022's Rotoscope EP, the title track for which came accompanied by an official music video shot by Max Moore, which has run up over 3.1 million YouTube views. The EP has clocked up 24.9 million streams. Rotoscope followed their 2021 debut album Eternal Bluewhich received a global tsunami of critical acclaim, perfect score reviews and features.
