Slipknot's Sid Wilson and Kelly Osbourne are celebrating the safe arrival of their first child, a baby boy named Sidney.

While the couple is yet to announce the arrival themselves, proud grandparent Sharon Osbourne let slip both little Sidney's arrival and his name during an interview with the UK network 'The Talk'.

No pictures have been circulated of Sidney, and Sharon indicates that's very much by design.

"[Kelly and Sidney] are doing so great — so great. She won't let a picture go out of him, and I'm so proud of her."

Sharon's revelation seems to confirm earlier reports that Kelly, a late '90s/early '00s MTV icon, and daughter of the 'Prince of Darkness', Ozzy, had gone into labour in November.

The arrival of Sidney continues the ongoing romance between Kelly and Sid. Previous reporting on the relationship has been so sickly sweet and genuine that we're just about ready to call up Hollywood and tell them to cast Reese Witherspoon for a rom-com about it. In January last year, Kelly revealed that she sleeps with a life-sized pillow of Sid's likeness!

'Everywhere I go I take my baby with me,' Osbourne said on her Instagram story post, along with the tears of joy emoji. Of course, Instagram stories are temporary, so we did the only thing a sensible person would do, we screenshotted it so that we could share the adorableness with you all.

Turntablist and sound manipulator for the Iowan metal monoliths Slipknot, Sid made headlines last year when he turned his old mask into a robot that sings along to Slipknot songs live.

Slipknot dropped their seventh studio album The End, So Far last year.  Produced collaboratively by Joe Baressi (Queens Of The Stone AgeSoundgardenAvenged Sevenfold, Parkway Drive) and Slipknot, The End, So Far is the follow-up to Slipknot’s 2019 We Are Not Your Kind which marked the band’s third consecutive #1 on the ARIA album chart.

Preceded by three well-received singles The Chapeltown Rag, The Dying Song (Time To Sing) and Yen, which introduced us into the immersive and sonically expansive world of The End, So Far the record sees one of the world’s most popular and deeply enigmatic bands relentlessly charting new ground as they continue to redefine, revitalize, and reimagine the scope of rock music.

To celebrate the widely anticipated release we caught up with Slipknot bass player, Alessandro 'V-Man' Venturella for a discussion about all things The End, So Far, if you haven't already, head on over and give it a read.
