Capping off a wild week that saw them reportedly part ways with long-standing member Craig Jones, play a festival with his apparent replacement (but without Clown), launch a cryptic website and close out the biggest Download festival ever, Slipknot have surprise-dropped the EP Adderall.

The six-song release features three previously unreleased tracks Death March, Red or RedderHard To Be Here, and three alternate versions of The End, So Far track Adderall.

Commenting on the Adderall release, Slipknot percussionist and creative visionary Shawn 'Clown'Crahan offered the following cryptic explanation. "Deconstructing to continuously pave the way for evolution“. "At this point in the program, nothing is safe.”

Death March arrived accompanied by a video directed by Clown that adds further mystery to what the release means for Slipknot's future. Featuring several mannequins with each band member's name scrawled on them and 'death mask' style makeup applied to their detached faces, the video is an eerie visual accompaniment to an equally odd soundtrack.

Memories (Adderall-Rough Demo) was also given a video treatment by Clown with equally unusual visuals showcasing what appears to be a mannequin of a reimagined Corey Taylor.

The Adderall release follows the standalone single Bone Church in continuing a consistent output from Slipknot since they dropped their seventh full-length album The End, So Far last year.

Slipknot The End, So Far Black Hoodie BundleThe recent debut of Knotfest Australia may have been Australian maggot's last chance to see Jones perform with the band. The sold-out three festival run was also their first opportunity to hear tracks from Slipknot's seventh full-length album The End, So Far and their 2019 record We Are Not Your Kind, with The Dying Song (Time To Sing) from the former and All Out Life and Unsainted from the latter making their live debuts down under at Knotfest Melbourne.

Produced collaboratively by Joe Baressi (Queens Of The Stone AgeSoundgardenAvenged Sevenfold, Parkway Drive) and Slipknot, The End, So Far is the follow-up to Slipknot’s 2019 We Are Not Your Kind which marked the band’s third consecutive #1 on the ARIA album chart.

To celebrate the widely anticipated release we caught up with Slipknot bass player, Alessandro 'V-Man' Venturella for a discussion about all things The End, So Far, if you haven't already, head on over and give it a read.
