Here at Maniacs we've been covering a new YouTube channel which popped up at the start of lockdown called Liberated Tape Archive, who have been acquiring previously unseen live footage of metal and hardcore bands from the late 90s and early 2000s.

The channel really has been the gift that has kept on giving over the last few weeks, with rare footage of SlipknotSevendust and Static-X (to name just a few) scratching a deep nostalgic itch.

Now, they've been able to get their hands on a Coal Chamber show from 2002, a Vanilla Ice show from 1999 (in his nu-metal era) and Trivium from 2005 as well among many other bands from the era like Alien Ant Farm and Norma Jean.

And it's not like this footage is shaky fan-shot stuff either; a lot of it looks pro-shot and sounds really good considering how old it is.

Here's a few of the newly-uploaded shows - if this is the sort of thing you love then make sure you head over to the channel for an absolute wealth of old footage!
