Paramore have revealed that they are back in the studio, working on music for a future release. As to whether that release is the rumoured 'deluxe' edition of their ARIA chart-topping sixth full-length This Is Why which was released in February, or something else entirely remains to be seen.

What is certain though is that Hayley Williams and bandmates Taylor York and Zac Farro are getting only famously, riding a wave of goodwill and creativity.  Both Williams and the band have shared photos on Instagram, depicting some visibly joyous moments in the studio.

As per a report from Kill Your Stereo, Williams provided additional clarification to what they are up to in the band's official Discord channel, stating “We've been off the road for a couple of weeks now... mainly in LA. Thankfully, got some downtime, but we put some work in, too." In promising news for Australian fans who are hanging for the group's headline Australian run in November, Williams also seemed to indicate that the lung infection that caused Paramore to cancel dates on their US tour is now under control.

"I can hardly believe I don't cough all day and night anymore. My stomach is still fucked from 10 kinds of medication... I'm just happy to be resting more. It felt good to get back into a studio. More of that once we get home to Nashville.” Now that the bulk of our touring for the year is over, I'm hoping to dive head-first into creating some better routines. “Zac, Taylor and I just want to get back to making things. We've been craving that for a while now. Not only the creative process but the layer(s) of insulation that can come with the creative process.”

A few months back, Paramore added extra shows in Melbourne and Brisbane, to their highly-anticipated tour of Australia and New Zealand.  The additional dates will see the band hit the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Wednesday 22nd of November and Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on Tuesday 28th November. These dates have been added due to the incredible demand for tickets to the originally scheduled dates in these cities.

The tour will see Paramore return to Australia and New Zealand for the first time since their 2018 After Laughter tour. Alt/indie-pop sensation Remi Wolf will provide support for all dates on the tour which kicks off in Auckland on November 18th before heading to Australia for shows in Brisbane on November 22nd, Sydney on November 25th and Melbourne on November 27th.

Tickets for all shows are on sale via Frontier Touring

This Is Why debuted at #1 on both the ARIA overall and vinyl charts. This Is Why is Paramore's third album to hit #1 in Australia, following 2009's Brand New Eyes and 2013's Paramore. The previous album, 2017s After Laughter peaked at #3. This Is Why also debuted at #1 in the UK.

In late June vocalist Hayley Williams teamed up with the Foo Fighters to give attendees at the UK festival Bonnaroo a moment they'll never forget. Williams joined the Fooeys during their headline set on Sunday, dueting with Grohl as they delivered a spellbinding rendition of My Hero. The reveal of Williams was done in a sneaky way and received a massive roar from the crowd when she appeared during the build to the song's epic climax.  Williams is no stranger to the track, with Paramore having contributed a cover of it to the Sound of Superman in 2006. Watch the Bonnaroo performance below.

Bonnaroo was another milestone achievement for the Foo Fighters who continue to go from strength to strength since their return to action after a hiatus taken to grieve the passing of their dear friend and drummer Taylor Hawkins. Their 19-song set featured a mix of classic material, covers and several songs from their new album But Here We Are.  Audiences in Australia can see the band perform for the first time with new drummer Josh Freese when they play a series of shows down under in late November and December.
