Incubus guitarist Mike Einziger is launching a Biotech company with his wife Anne Marie. The company Mother Science will make an anti-ageing skincare brand available to the public when they launch on May 9th. Not much information on the initial product offering is available at this time, but the front page of the official website does promise that they will be "revolutionizing beauty through biotech".
Einziger shared news of the launch via Instagram, stating "Most of you don’t know that my wife @annmariesimpsoneinziger and I have been building a skin-related biotech company for the past several years…and the result of our innovation is a new anti-ageing skincare brand called MOTHER SCIENCE, launching May 9th. Please support by following @motherscience and signing up via link in the motherscience BIO!
See y’all out on the road very soon!
A founding member of Incubus, Einziger's contributions to the band are an integral part of their sound, having appeared on all eight of their studio albums. One of those records of course is named S.C.I.E.N.C.E. which now seems like an early indicator of what was to come, outside of music from Einziger, who has a lifelong love of scientific study.
Einziger has previously studied the history and philosophy of physics with physicist/historian, Dr Peter Galison, of Harvard University, contributed to an article on the topic of human evolution with evolutionary biology figure and Brown University professor Dr Kenneth Miller AND even took a personal tour of the Large Hardon Collider at CERN in Switzerland with British physicist Dr Brian Cox.
Incubus's most recent album, 8, was released in 2017.
