It's Friday, Friday, got to get your fresh heavy fix on Friday.  That's right Maniacs it is finally Friday which means it is time to kick off the weekend by lighting the Friday Fire

With so many new heavy releases dropping every week, it can be hard to know what to listen to, so we've taken it upon ourselves to do the heavy lifting, sorting the 'hell yeah' from the 'hell meh' you don't have to. Now, let's ignite the Friday Fire!

Avatar feat. Lzzy Hale (Halestorm)Violence No Matter What

Gothenburg metal wildcards Avatar bring Halestorm vocalist Lzzy Hale for the absolutely massive Violence No Matter What. Violence No Matter What is a song with a very loud point to be made, as Avatar vocalist Johannes Eckerström

comments "Violence No Matter What is about one thing and one thing only. It’s ok to debate and fight and to think differently.

But there is a limit, and the line must be drawn at authority held with violence, a world view that cannot survive without enemies, a promised return to a fabricated former glory.” It's a message that Hale wholeheartedly agrees with "Thank you so much to the boys for giving me the opportunity to express my angst against the horrors of this world through such a brilliant song!” The combination of Avatar's meaty metal composition and Hale's gritty vocal prowess should ensure everyone is listening.

Ghost feat. Joe Elliott (Def Leppard) - Spillways

Ghost's Spillways undergoes a huge transfiguration here, including vocals from rock legend and avowed Ghost fan Joe Elliott of Def Leppard. The results are unsurprisingly otherworldly.

Fall Out Boy - Heartbreak Feels So Good

Fall Out Boy offer another glimpse into their highly anticipated new album So Much (For) Stardust with Heartbreak Feels So Good. Sitting at the poppier end of the Fall Out Boy spectrum, Heartbreak Feels So Good is home to a soaring chorus and a very good video clip in which the shenanigans are at an all time high.  Fall Out Boy reunited with producer Neil Avron who worked with the band on the iconic three record run of From Under the Cork TreeInfinity on High and Folie à Deux to make So Much (For) Stardust and you can hear elements of each of those releases in both Love From The Other Side and Heartbreak Feels So Good.

    PVRIS- Goddess

Producer, singer/songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Lyndsey Gunnulfsen, returns with her latest offering under the PVRIS moniker. A gritty, punchy and action packed dance party that channels female rage, power, confidence, and autonomy all in one. As Lyndsey says, "It’s a celebration of femininity, all shapes and forms, and a cathartic, guttural scream at the same time."

    August Burns Red - Backfire

August Burns Red go all-in on Backfire, delivering a pummelling anthem that gives fans every reason to be very excited about their forthcoming full-length Death Below which releases on March 24th via SharpTone Records"Backfire is song that musically is a punch in the face, and we wrote the lyrics to follow suit," says ABR. The song is about choosing who you follow wisely, and not allowing people you've never met to influence the decisions you make in life. Backfire ticks all the boxes when it comes to an ABR song."

Blood Command - Leave A Light On

Aussie frontwoman Nikki Brumen gives everything she has to this wholly unexpected yet wonderful Belinda Carlisle cover from Nowergian deathpoppers Blood Command. This is an absolute blast and continues Blood Command's incredible hotstreak.
