My Chemical Romance will perform The Black Parade in Las Vegas in October.
The set will be the headline attraction on an absolutely stacked 2024 edition of emo nostalgia festival When We Were Young.
The New Jersey emo giants will be joined on the festival by an eye-watering collection of acts all playing iconic albums in full.
Highlights among the seriously impressive lineup of full-album sets are A Day To Remember (Homesick), Coheed and Cambria (Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV), The Distillers (Coral Fang), Dashboard Confessional (Dusk & Summer), Jimmy Eat World (Bleed American), Thursday (Full Collapse), Pretty Girls Make Graves (The New Romance), August Burns Red (Constellations), The Wonder Years (The Greatest Generation), The Used (In Love and Death), Armor For Sleep (What To Do When You're Dead) and Underoath (They're Only Chasing Safety).
Fall Out Boy are also on the announcement, however they are yet to reveal if they'll be doing a full-length in full like seemingly everyone else on the lineup and if so, which full-length they will be playing.
The full-lineup can be seen below.
The festival is set to take place in Las Vegas on Saturday 19 October 2024. Fans can sign up now for the festival pre-sale list at WhenWeWereYoungFestival.com to receive an access code for the presale that will begin Satuday, November 18 at 6AM AEDT.
LiveNation will be offering a number of ticketing options for the event. Full details on all the package types can be found here.
This will be the third year in succession that the festival has taken over the Las Vegas Festival Grounds for a celebration of emo nostalgia.
The headline slot is the latest in a series of milestones for My Chemical Romance who left Australian audiences amazed with a run of critically acclaimed live shows earlier this year. The success of the six-show arena run that saw them supported by fellow WWWY 2024 act Jimmy Eat World is further testament to just how big they've become during their absence, as a new generation has gravitated towards their music.
The band released their first new original song since 2014, The Foundations of Decay last year.
Slow building, brooding, anthemic, drenched in emotion and yet somehow still bleeding jubilation, the six-minute track is a reminder of why My Chemical Romance are the undisputed icons of the MySpace era.
