Modern metal monsters Trivium and Heaven Shall Burn are currently tearing up a tour of the UK and Europe together. To celebrate this coming together of two of metal's foremost acts, the two bands have released a new, limited-edition 7" split featuring each band covering an iconic track originally recorded by the other. For their half of the split, Trivium opted to cover Heaven Shall Burn's Whatever It May Take rager Implore The Darken Sky.

Today the band has dropped the video for their cover, which takes the intensity of the original and gives it a bit of a trademark Trivium twist.

Heaven Shall Burn returns the favour with a cracking cover of Pillars Of Serpents from Trivium‘s album Ember To Inferno, which you can check out below.

The release of Implore The Darken Sky comes a month out from Trivium's much-anticipated return to Australian shores in March when they hit the country to play Knotfest Australia.

The band will also play two co-headline shows with Amon Amarth in Melbourne and Brisbane, with Trivium's visit giving Aussie fans the first chance to experience songs from In the Court of the Dragon live.
