Korn frontman Jonathan Davis has teamed up with Tasmanian genre-destroying TikTok sensation Kim Dracula on their chaotic new single Seventy Thorns. Arriving with a horror-themed video directed by Jensen Noen (Falling In Reverse, Ice Nine KillsSeventy Thorns furthers Dracula's wild genre-bending instincts, combining elements of lounge jazz with trap, thrash, death, nu and black metal. Dracula's impressive instrumental and vocal talents are on full display on Seventy Thorns with their King Diamond-inspired high-shrieks and Davis-inspired scats, particularly standing out amidst the chaotic composition. When Davis joins in with his unique styling, he lifts the track to a whole 'nu' level.

Securing the Davis feature was a teenage dream come true for the mysterious Hobart-based TikTok star, with Dracula taking to TikTok before the songs release to post a snippet of the song where Davis's voice can be heard, captioned with "one of my idols".

Davis clearly shared Dracula's enthusiasm for Seventy Thorns, with the nu-metal icon taking to Twitter to share the love.

Dracula became a worldwide sensation in 2020 thanks to their metal cover of Lady Gaga's Paparazzi which went positively viral, hitting #4 on the Spotify global viral 50 charts. By 2021 the cover had 13.4 million views on TikTok, 33 million views on YouTube, and 55 million listens on Spotify,  with The Music revealing Dracula was at that point the second most followed Australian TikTok personality, behind Sia.

Dracula who is believed to be former Jesterpose vocalist Samuel Wellings is now primarily concentrating on releasing original music, having released two well-received singles in 2022 Drown and Make Me Famous. They have confirmed a debut album is almost ready for release later this year, writing on Instagram that "For those asking, you guessed correctly. I have spent the last two years working on my debut album, and it is finally nearing completion. This album so far is the craziest thing I’ve ever heard, let alone made. The year is ours, starting 02/17. How many thorns does it take to build a crown?"
