It's been awhile (twelve years to be specific) since Staind released an original full-length album. On September 22 that'll change when the multi-platinum rockers release their eighth record Confessions of the Fallen. Before the record's arrival, the band has issued the single Here and Now. Here and Now is classic Staind – a powerful, emotionally charged ballad, sonically similar to their megahits It's Been AWhile, So Far Away and Outside.
Here and Now is accompanied by a video directed by Bradley Golowin, that perfectly captures the sentiment of the song, exploring the joy and pain of moments that shape a life.
Here and Now is the fourth track released from the new album, following In This Condition, Cycle of Hurting and Lowest In Me which has been crushing it on the US airwaves, reaching #1 for two consecutive weeks on Active Rock and Billboard Mainstream Rock Charts.
Comprised of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Aaron Lewis, lead guitarist Mike Mushok, bassist and backing vocalist Johnny April, and drummer Sal Giancarelli, Staind formed in 1995 in their hometown of Springfield, Massachusetts. Over the course of their career, the band has released seven studio albums and eight Top 10 singles, selling over 15 million albums worldwide. Break The Cycle, released in 2001 and is certified 5x platinum in the United States and was a hit downunder, thanks largely to the power of the timeless anthem It’s Been Awhile one of the most played songs in modern rock radio history. In 2019 after a five-year hiatus, the band reunited for some unforgettable festival performances, and a hometown reunion show that was recorded for the live album, Live: It’s Been Awhile.
Confessions of the Fallen releases on September 22 via BMG, variants of the album including limited-edition orange vinyl, and other exclusive merch bundle items are available through album pre-order
