Sydney alt-rockers RADICALS serve up liberating alt-rock on feel. Watch the video for feel premiering right now via Maniacs.

Following on from their thundering release falling faster slowly’, Sydney-based alternative-rock group RADICALS have just unleashed their liberating new single feel– produced by Daniel Antix at Def Wolf Studios (Pist IdiotsSCABZClay J Gladstone).

feel is a perceptible yet cathartic onslaught of gritty, dynamic rock. A vigorous intro paves the way for evocative verses, led by the mollifying melodies from frontman Brandon Wade. Splashes of zeal make for the nostalgic and lively chorus, thwarting the listener with assailing instrumentation and potent hooks.

The band comment on the themes behind feel:

“We all know people – ourselves included – who hate how they look, how they speak, how they act, and who are really scared to be themselves. We wrote this song for all those people. It’s not an easy thing to love yourself, and we know that just as much as the next person. But if this song gets one person moving and feeling good about themselves, then we've done our job.”

Premiering via Maniacs today, feel is a mishmash of everything great about 90s alt-rock, with moody yet melodic vocals weaving in and out of a wall of fuzzy guitars, bass and pounding drums, while the message of self-love and empowerment provides a fresh modern perspective. It is another example of why RADICALS are fast becoming one of our favourite emerging acts.

To support the release, RADICALS were scheduled to play the prestigious Yours & Owls Festival in April, prior to its cancellation this week, and will move ahead with their scheduled shows at Huxley'sCambridge Hotel and Factory Floor. This continues on from having previously sold out multiple headline shows and shared the stage with home-based favourites Ruby FieldsLOSER and The Dead Love.

Previous single falling faster slowly was widely supported by the likes of SpotifyApple Musictriple jtriple j UnearthedThe FactionSYN FM and 4ZZZ. It also received online praise from Backseat Mafia DownunderGC LiveAAA BackstageAustralian Music SceneSomething You SaidMilkyClout (UK), York Calling (UK), Havoc Underground (USA) and Rawing In The Pit.

The band also premiered the big hooky grunge monster Untitled via Maniacs back in November.
