Paramore have added a third and final Melbourne show to their highly-anticipated tour of Australia and New Zealand. The added show will take place at Rod Laver Arena on November 30 and comes on the back of successive sellouts of the same venue on November 27 and 28. Tickets for the third Melbourne show go on sale Friday 15 September at 2 pm local time via Frontier Touring. A pre-sale will be held commencing on Thursday 14 September at 1pm local time. This requires a passcode to access, that passcode is FIGURE8.

The Australian tour is in support of their sixth studio album This Is Why. This Is Why debuted at #1 on both the ARIA overall and vinyl charts.  This Is Why is Paramore's third album to hit #1 in Australia, following 2009's Brand New Eyes and 2013's Paramore.  The previous album, 2017s After Laughter peaked at #3. This Is Why also debuted at #1 in the UK.

The Australian tour also follows the recent revelation that the band are currently back in the studio, working on music for a future release.  As to whether that release is the rumoured 'deluxe' edition of their ARIA chart-topping sixth full-length This Is Why which was released in February, or something else entirely remains to be seen. What is certain though is that Hayley Williams and bandmates Taylor York and Zac Farro are getting only famously, riding a wave of goodwill and creativity.  Both Williams and the band have shared photos on Instagram, depicting some visibly joyous moments in the studio.

As per a report from Kill Your Stereo, Williams provided additional clarification to what they are up to in the band's official Discord channel, stating “We've been off the road for a couple of weeks now... mainly in LA. Thankfully, got some downtime, but we put some work in, too." In promising news for Australian fans who are hanging for the group's headline Australian run in November, Williams also seemed to indicate that the lung infection that caused Paramore to cancel dates on their US tour is now under control.

"I can hardly believe I don't cough all day and night anymore. My stomach is still fucked from 10 kinds of medication... I'm just happy to be resting more. It felt good to get back into a studio. More of that once we get home to Nashville.” Now that the bulk of our touring for the year is over, I'm hoping to dive head-first into creating some better routines. “Zac, Taylor and I just want to get back to making things. We've been craving that for a while now. Not only the creative process but the layer(s) of insulation that can come with the creative process.”
