Yngwie Malmsteen has announced a tour of Australia. The legendary guitar virtuoso will play shows in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney in May.
One of the most heralded guitarists of the 1980s, Malmsteen has carved out a legendary career spanning over four decades. With his jaw-dropping technique, innovative style, and unparalleled showmanship, Malmsteen has become an icon in the world of rock and metal music and an influence on generations of guitar players.
As one of the pioneers of neo-classical rock and metal, his virtuosic playing has earned him widespread acclaim from both fans and critics alike, and his influence on the world of guitar music is immeasurable.
Malmsteen's upcoming tour of Australia will be his first time visiting Down Under since 2015 and is set to be a retrospective of his incredible legacy, with a particular celebration of his ground-breaking debut solo album, Yngwie J. Malmsteen’s Rising Force which celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2024.
Tickets for the tour will go on sale on Tuesday 2nd April at 9 am local via Silverback Touring.
