DOOM is a legendary video game franchise with some damn iconic music to boot - the track that plays in the original 1993 game's first level, 'E1M1', is arguably about as recognisable as the Tetris theme song.
And while 'E1M1' is an absolute banger of a tune, the limitations of sound hardware back in the early 90s made it difficult to achieve a realistic, truly heavy result.
Enter shred lord Jason Richardson, who has previously brought his godlike abilities to bands like Born Of Osiris, Chelsea Grin and All That Remains, this time offering up his own amazing take on the DOOM classic!
Jason's able to keep the original song's vibe intact while adding on his own djent sounds and furious tapping - he even dons the classic Doomguy helmet in points too!

Jason Richardson currently plays guitar in All That Remains, who was asked to join following the death of the band's longtime guitarist Oli Herbert. He's a name that gets thrown around quite a lot when talking top-tier metal guitarists - we even featured him in our top 20!
