Every metalhead's favourite animated band turned real-life metal icons, Dethklok have released a new single Aortic Desecration.
Their first new track in ten years, Aortic Desecration arrives alongside the announcement that a new Dethklok album, Dethalbum IV will soundtrack the freshly announced movie Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar.
The triple announcement is big news for fans of the series, wth Adult Swim throwing their full-weight behind a Blu-Ray release of Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar which is set release on August the 25th.
The synopsis for the film reads "The all-new animated movie begins after the heroic rescue of Toki Wartooth; Dethklok frontman Nathan Explosion finds himself traumatized in a BRUTAL professional and romantic flat-spin, all while he is tasked with fulfilling the prophecy and confronting the ultimate songwriting challenge to save the planet."
Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar has an impressive confirmed cast list with creators Tommy Blacha and Victor Brandt (Metalocalypse) joined by Stephen "Thundercat" Bruner, King Diamond (King Diamond, Mercyful Fate), Mark Hamill (Batman: The Animated Series, The Machine, Star Wars), Kirk Hammett (Metallica), Jon Hamm (Confess, Fletch, Top Gun: Maverick), Scott Ian (Anthrax), Amy Lee (Evanescence), Malcolm Mcdowell (A Clockwork Orange) and many more.

Dethklok, who operate as a touring outfit these days, are playing a series of shows with Babymetal throughout North America. Speaking about the enormous triple shot of Dethklok news, the groups' creative visionary Brendon Small states:
