blink-182 have revealed October 20 as the day they will stop 'edging' their audience and release their feverishly anticipated new record One More Time...

One More Time... will be the first record from the San Diego pop-punk icons to feature guitarist/vocalist Tom DeLonge since 2011's Neighborhoods.

In addition to the album title and release date, blink-182 have also shared the tracklisting and artwork for One More Time and launched various pre-order options.

In a trailer for an upcoming interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe,  the band revealed much background information on the record's creation and the circumstances that led to DeLonge rejoining the band.

Speaking on the latter topic, Tom reflects that it was Mark Hoppus's diagnosis with cancer that ignited the dormant blink-182 fire within him, stating "I remember I told my wife, I don't think I'm ever going to play music again, I don't think I'm ever going to tour again, and then Mark told me he was sick and it was the only thing I wanted to do".

The nature of the impetus for his return, also gave birth to the album's title track, which will be released on Thursday 21 September, with Travis Barker sharing "One More Time’ is written about ‘why does it take these catastrophes like me being in a plane crash or Mark being sick for our band to get back together?"

Showing that the humorous banter that was one of their onstage trademarks remains, DeLonge follows this heartfelt sentiment by stating "One More Time is like 'Hey this is the last time we're going to fuck this up'."
