Billie Joe Armstrong has surprised British alt-rockers Borderline Toxic by jumping on stage during their performance of Basketcase.

The Green Day frontman was in attendance at the London-based groups' show at Islington venue Slim Jim's Liquor Store and was obviously having a jolly good time because when the band launched into their cover of the Dookie classic, he hopped on stage, grabbed a mic and belted it out with them. To say the crowd and the band were both stoked is an understatement, with the moment seeming to pretty much make everyone's night, if not their lives. Watch the absolute scenes unfold in fan footage shared by Green Day's social media accounts below.

The video has been viewed 173-thousand times so far and predictably has sent a mass of new fans over to Borderline Toxic's socials. The alt-rockers shared their thoughts in their own post. "The moment your band gets joined on stage by your childhood idol to sing their own song with you… in your favourite dive bar!! 🥹 Billie Joe Armstrong… @greenday !! THANK YOU, YOU LEGEND! 🔥 This was the first band to get me into rock when I was 11 years old and I’m honestly just so made up 😅🥹 brb crying/screaming/spewing 😂"

The band released the single Sir Satan this past weekend and if it is good enough for Billie Joe, it's probably good enough for you.  Check it out below.
