Australian power rock trio Antiskeptic made their triumphant return today with the release of the new single Young Hearts.

The first taste of the returning heroes' freshly announced forthcoming album InstinctsYoung Hearts leans into the powerful riffs and hooks that established Antiskeptic as one of the most beloved local acts of the '00s. Starting with an off-kilter beat and exploding with Antiskeptic's trademark flare.

Featuring the original lineup of vocalist/guitarist Andrew Kitchen, bassist/vocalist Sean Daly and drummer Nick Coppin, Young Hearts shows that there's a lot of life left in the seasoned trio.

Speaking on the track, Kitchen reflects "Thematically, this song is about coming to terms with the fact that you’ve spent your youth and embracing the new season of your life."

Young Hearts arrives accompanied by a fiery video clip produced by Ryan Chamley (Robot Army Productions). Shot on location in a metal workshop in Geelong, the team utilized multiple practical effects and elements to achieve exciting visuals to match the band's renewed fire and energy.

To celebrate the return of these Aussie scene icons, we caught up with the band for a quick chat about the Australian bands that they'd most like to see follow their lead and reunite.

    Bzark

"This band turned genre's inside out and made rock music unlike anything else at the time. Maybe since? Guitars, bass drums, cello.... like seriously!"

    Ricaine

"Another 3 piece noise rock band who pulled no punches with their angular, jolting rhythms and spoken word delivery. Like poetry combined with a chainsaw. I think this would slay in todays climate."

    Pre.Shrunk

"This was a two-bass guitar & drum outfit that utterly defied categories and genres. Pre-cursory to math rock but you could actually dance to it. The world needs to know who these guys were."

    Violetine

"Before we used words like emo and indie... we just had to go by feeling and this band had them. Huge guitars and great melodies. SHOULD have been massive."

    Silverchair

"Little-known local band from Newcastle who had a flair for dramatic and theatrical stadium rock. Really catchy too. Don't know what happened to them..."
