Legendary hard rock band Aerosmith have announced a farewell tour. The 150-million album-selling icons will hit the road for one last time later this year, putting an end to a 50-year journey that has seen them play live to over 100 million adoring fans. The Steven Tyler-fronted group responsible for timeless classics Dream On, I Don't Want To Miss A Thing, Walk This Way, Dude (Looks Like A Lady), Janies Got A Gun, Livin' On The Edge  and Crazy will be joined by fellow ageless wonders The Black Crowes when the Peace Out tour kicks off in the USA in Philadelphia in September.

Speaking in a press release the Boston band reflected "After 50 years, 10 world tours, and playing for over 100 million fans… it’s time for one last go." "It’s not goodbye it’s PEACE OUT! Get ready and walk this way, you’re going to get the best show of our lives.”  With 40 dates announces for North America, the Peace Out tour will have Aerosmith rocking into 2024, as of this moment, no dates outside of North America have been announced, however Tyler did seem to indicate that additional dates could be possible offering "It's the final farewell tour, but I have a feeling it will go on for a while, but I don't know how many times we'll be coming back to the same cities. It could very possibly be the last time."

Unfortunately for fans of drummer Joey Kramer, the band have revealed that he will not be able to play the tour, stating "While Joey Kramer remains a beloved founding member of Aerosmith, he has regrettably made the decision to sit out the currently scheduled touring dates to focus his full attention on his family and health. Joey’s unmistakable and legendary presence behind the drum kit will be sorely missed."

Tickets for the Peace Out tour go onsale at 10 am, EST on Friday May 5 (Midnight, May 6 AEST) here
