    Goth-rock icon Ville Valo will return to Australia next month for the VV Neon Noir tour. The four-date tour will see the legendary voice of Finland's HIM bring material from his debut VV full-length, 2023's Neon Noir to life, mixing in a selection of songs from HIM's celebrated catalogue for good measure. 

    Brimming with charisma and gothic melodrama, Valo commands your full attention both on and off the stage. Perfectly fusing the melodic and the melancholic. A true innovator, Valo broke new stylistic ground when he came soaring out of the land of the midnight sun, hypnotising the globe with an enchanting mix of dark rock anthems and emotionally charged ballads.  With eight  HIM records and that signature five-octave vocal range at his disposal, the setlist for these shows has the potential to be unforgettable. 

    Ahead of the tour, Maniacs caught up with the 'god of love metal' himself for a rather jovial conversation during which Ville opens up about his new album Neon Noir and the enduring legacy of HIM, offers his reflections on living life as a 'goth sex symbol', calls out generic vocalists and provides a more wholesome and darkly humorous explanation for all those church burnings in Norway...
