Well colour us surprised - it looks as though Make Them Suffer's keyboardist/vocalist Booka Nile will be appearing as a bride on the 2021 edition of the reality TV show Married At First Sight!
The news was confirmed when Channel Nine shared their upcoming 2021 showreel, with a brief glimpse of Booka donning a white wedding dress at the 0:29 mark of the video:
The premise of MAFS is that four Aussie couples are paired together by "experts", then meet for the first time at their wedding before going on a honeymoon, meeting the in-laws and setting up a home while still getting to know each other. It's a social experiment that has become ultra-popular in Australia, as the new episodes will mark the show's eighth season to date.
Booka joined Make Them Suffer in 2017, touring both at home and abroad, and was most recently on the band's stunning 2020 record How To Survive A Funeral. She's also a member of the indie rock band Internet Friends, too, and just generally an absolute legend human.
As for the mystery groom? Looks as though it's a moustached alternative dude whose name we don't know yet.
Don't think Aussie metalcore has had this kind of mainstream representation since Michael Crafter appeared on Big Brother back in 2008! Maybe we'll have to actually watch the show now...
