Corey Taylor of Slipknot and Stone Sour recently told The Pulse of Radio that “there’s an excitement that we haven’t felt in a while” about the new Slipknot record! With the recent news of Joey Jordison’s departure from the band (whether voluntary or not), any Slipknot fan would be curious as to how the making of the next record would go with Joey’s absence.

It’s the worst standing behind someone who’s recording an entire gig on their phone, but it definitely makes up for it when they’ve managed to capture some good quality footage that they upload & you can watch over and over again to re-live that awesome gig you went to see.

It’s always a good day when another piece of information comes out about the new Slipknot record, and today it’s come out that Jim Root will be sitting out of the next Stone Sour tour in order to focus on the next Slipknot release!Christian Martucci will be filling in on guitar instead, so fans shouldn’t be too disappointed.
