Iceland's Une Misère are the latest band to join the illustrious roster at Nuclear Blast, the famous label representing Slayer, Behemoth, Danzig, Fearfactory and countless other influential metal artists worldwide.
As part of that signing, the band have dropped a new single 'Damages', which is quite frankly an absolutely crushing track which combines elements of hardcore, black metal and death metal to form a super bleak soundscape.
Vocals remind us of Sam Carter from earlier Architects records, while there's also a hint of Behemoth influence in the video and music as well.
Check it out below:
The band said of the song:
“‘Damages‘ is about being at your breaking point. It is about being at the very edge and falling over. ‘Damages‘ is about facing the fact that mental diseases may never be cured; although the person can get better, one may never be fully rid of it. Depression, anxiety, addiction and so forth – they will always be there. The shadows – they will always be there. They will follow you – into the grave.”
Une Misère formed in 2017 from the remnants of other Icelandic hardcore bands. No doubt they'll be leaving a big mark under the wing of their new label!
