    Probably not your typical Maniacs but Rodrigo y Gabrielaare a Mexican acoustic guitar duo who are known for their fast rhythms and happy, open-hearted performances. Now, on first listen these guys sound like any other (particularly talented) guitar duo but on further inspection (and research), these guys take great inspiration fromMetallica, Megadeth, Slayer, TestamentandOverkill. Now not so much your classic guitar-duo. These guys get better though; their music was featured on the pilot episode ofBreaking Badso you areprobablyeven already familiar with their music.

    I’ve been listening to them for a while and this morning found a rad video ofMetallica’s Robert Trujillo joining the duo on stage for a tribute to Metallica medley! Absolute must see, check it out below!
