While we wait for a new Lamb Of God album, guitarist Mark Morton has announced his own solo record called Anesthetic which will be out sometime in 2019. Thankfully, he's given us an early serving with a debut single which we're happy to report is pretty goddamn heavy!

Titled 'The Truth Is Dead', the song features both Lamb Of God vocalist Randy Blythe and Arch Enemy's Alissa White-Gluz, who combine their vocal talents to form a fantastic duo.

The track starts off pretty mellow until the 45-second mark, when Morton kicks everything into overdrive with winding metal riffs. Check it out below!

Morton had this to say about the album, alluding to the fact that the record will feature more excellent guests.

“Hey y’all. So... I’ve been quietly working on a solo album for the last couple of years and I am stoked to announce that it will be released in 2019! I’m beyond proud of this project and so grateful at having had the opportunity to work with so many amazingly talented friends, new and old,”

Will it include whatever he was working on with Linkin Park's Chester Bennington before his passing? Guess we'll find out soon.
