Down’s Philip Anselmohas one of the most interesting historys of anyone in the scene. Did you know that he dropped out of high school though? In a recent interview with Rocksverige.se he talks about why, if he has any regrets and what we can expect from the next Down EP!

You quit school in 12thgrade. Have you ever regretted not getting an education?

Philip Anselmo known from Down & Pantera, recently caught up with his old buddy Matt Pinfield of Fanpass over a couple of beers. Anselmo talked about how Down came together, the legacy of Pantera and kind-of hinted around a reunion (well that’s how I felt anyway).

94.9 K-Rock: The new [DOWN] album/EP [“Down IV - Part Two”] will be released May 13th. Anything you guys did differently on this one? Any new formula?

According to Amazon.com, Philip Anselmo (from both Down and Pantera) is set to release an autobiography next January!

The latest EP from Down feels like it’s been a long time coming (especially when there have been things coming through about it since Soundwave in February!) but finally, just ahead of it’s release, it has been available for streaming via our friends at Noisey.
