Before the record dropped Maniacs caught up with the metal icon, pilot, historian, honorary doctor, actor, noted fencer and man after whom a species of lizard and spider are named, to explore 'The Mandrake Project.' We also challenged him to a lightsaber fight.

A new species of lizard has been named after Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson. According to a new article by ReptilesMagazine, the species Enyalioides dickinsoni was one of two new species found in the Cordillera de Colán mountain range and the Río Marañón and Río Chiriaco basins in Peru.

Iron Maiden have added a second Melbourne date to 'The Future Past' Australian tour. The second Melbourne date will take place on September 7 at Rod Laver Arena. Tickets for all dates are on sale now. 

British heavy metal icons Iron Maiden will return down under for the first time since 2016 when they bring 'The Future Past' tour to Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland next September. Support on all shows will come from metalcore luminaries Killswitch Engage.
