    Slayer Final Show

We knew this moment was coming for a while now, but that hasn't made it any less devastating; Slayer ended a legendary career and a year-and-a-half long farewell tour at The Forum in LA last night, and there's already some footage of their final song below.

The band closed out their last-ever show with 'Angel Of Death', before the crowd in attendance began chanting "Slayer", with the band members and crew embracing on stage and soaking in their last moments on-stage.

Vocalist Tom Araya had this to say before departing:

“Thank you. Thank you very much. I want to thank you for sharing your time with us. Time is precious. So I thank you for sharing that time with us, thank you. I’m gonna miss you guys. But the most important thing I want to thank you for being a part of my life, thank you. Good night. You guys be safe.”

Check out a fan-shot clip of the song and aftermath:

Slayer leave behind a legacy with 12 albums, two Grammy awards and a legion of passionate fans around the world.

The band's manager has recently gone on the record to say that the end of their farewell tour doesn't necessarily mean the end of the band altogether, and it's not a surprise given how established the Slayer brand is at this point, but we'll have to wait and see what this will mean in the future!

    Listen to Slayer now.
