Metallica and Miley Cyrus have performed Nothing Else Matters together live on the Howard Stern Show.
The metal legends and the pop-megastar delivered a faithful reading of the 1991 Metallica classic to celebrate the release of The Metallica Blacklist.
The live rendition is a different take to the one that appears on the sprawling 53 track record, with Cyrus showcasing her stellar lower-range, in a haunting performance that more than does justice to the original. There's a bit of magic in the airwaves when Hetfield and Cyrus lock in on the harmonies in the chorus, with the combined star power alone enough to send chills down the spine.

Cyrus fronting Metallica is an iconic moment for sure, but this cross-genre adventure is far from being the most interesting thing on The Metallica Blacklist with Cyrus alternate version of the track with WATT, Elton John, Yo-Yo Ma, Robert Trujillo, and Chad Smith a significantly bigger departure from the original than this Howard Stern Live show rendition.

Over here at Maniacs, we are still processing The Metallica Blacklist but one thing we can say for sure is the sheer scope of the record makes it the most interesting musical explorative experience in recent memory.
