The internet is a pretty divisive place, but if there's one thing that we pretty much all agree upon, it is that cats win the internet.

The latest example of how hive-minded we all become when presented with a fine feline comes with the story of the new viral sensation Mostaccioli.

    Mostaccioli
has gone positively viral over the last few days because people think the rather dapper cat looks like Queen's legendary late frontman Freddie Mercury.

Mostaccioli's rise to fame is a bit of a rags-to-riches story, having been rescued by a Californian named Natalie after she found Mostaccioli along with her mother and her three newborn brothers as strays and raised them back to strength. After offering up the other cats for adoption, Natalie decided to keep little Mostaccioli, because well, I mean, she's just so damn cute and little Mostaccioli has become fast friends with stepsister Izanami with whom she shares a now-viral Instagram account @izanami.and.mostaccioli

Resembling Freddie Mercury and singing like Freddie Mercury are very different things though, and sadly it seems Mostaccoli is not quite yet ready to fill those shoes.

Watch Freddie Mercury in action rockin' one of Queen's heaviest tracks Stone Cold Crazy below.

If you're looking for more cat-related metal, you could do worse than tracking down and listening to Cattera, a heavy metal band made up of actual cats!

Cats natural nemesis, dogs, also have been getting a bit of love lately, thanks to Metallica and Tool using special canine's to sniff out COVID-19!
