It's been a long time coming, but the last film in Rob Zombie's horror trilogy is almost here. Titled 3 From Hell, the film serves as a sequel to both House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects, which both became cult films in their own right.
In the new trailer for 3 From Hell below, you can see the Firefly family survived their head-on shooting spree with police at the end of the last film, and manage to recover to head out on a murdering spree once more:
It's been 14 years since The Devil's Rejects was released, so we're keen to finally see how it all wraps up! Rob Zombie offered some insight into the gap between films:
I’ll just say it’s not a prequel. I’m making this movie 15 years after the last movie, so my cast is aging the wrong direction and I certainly didn’t replace them with other actors. The one thing I will say is that when we got together — because my biggest fear of making this movie was the actors won’t have the vibe they had — it was almost spooky how much [they vibed.] It didn’t seem like it was 15 years later, it seemed like it was six months later.“
3 From Hell will be screening across 900 cinemas in the US over September 16-18, and hopefully will see some sort of digital release after that!
