The Damned Things Return with First Song in 9 Years, Listen Now

Metal supergroup The Damned Things were teasing a follow-up to their 2010 debut record Ironiclast back in August, and it's now official! Returning with a really groovy new single called 'Cells' and the announcement of their sophomore album High Crimes due out on April 26.

The band currently consists of Every Time I Die vocalist Keith Buckley, Anthrax's Scott Ian, Alkaline Trio bassist Dan Andriano (who has just replaced former bassist Josh Newton), and Fall Out Boy's Andy Hurley and Joe Trohman rounding out the lineup on drums on and lead guitar.

'Cells' is super catchy with some dirty southern rock riffs and Keith Buckley's vocals really making it sound like a more rocky Every Time I Die track. The music video is funny as hell, showing Scott Ian getting stabbed with a microphone, Joe Trohman burning his hands on a barbecue and other hilarious fake violence.

    Check it out:

We're still trying to work out how these guys managed to hatch out another album given how busy they must be with their own bands, but hey, we're not complaining!
