Metal YouTuber Frog Leap Studios has been recreating metal versions of popular songs for years, so it was a huge surprise to us that given the meme status of Smash Mouth's 'All Star' that he's only just gotten around to covering it now!

If somehow you aren't sure which song we're talking about, it's that one from Shrek that was memed into oblivion during the 2010s, and gave Smash Mouth's career a colossal second wind to boot.

Just like all his other covers, Leo Moracchioli starts out pretty true to the original before going off on a more brutal tangent halfway through with harsh vocals, chugs, solos and more; it usually makes for some pretty interesting renditions!

    Have a watch below:

You could say Leo is a bit of an all-star himself, as he is solely responsible for creating, editing and pumping out his covers regularly. Literally everything - filming, arranging, mixing, mastering and video editing. The dude also tours playing his covers live as well. Workhorse!
