    Vilify band

Addiction is a very real issue that affects so many people and their surrounding loved ones in different aspects of life. It's definitely not an easy subject to tackle, but Vilify have done an outstanding job with their debut single 'Habit' - the video of which is premiering below!

It's the first taste of things to come from the fresh new melodic hardcore trio out of Newcastle, with their first EP Clarity due out on December 4, but things are looking (and sounding!) very promising if 'Habit' is anything to go by.

While Vilify itself are a new band, its members have had their noses to the grindstone for a while now - the lineup consists of vocalist Amy Macintosh (The Beautiful Monument, Liberties), drummer Kieran Jackson (SETMEONFIRE, Liberties) and guitarist Deni Hourihan (Cold Era), who are able to combine their experience to bring a raw and powerful sound to the table.

    As Vilify explain:

"'Habit' is a plea for strength to both loved ones and to ourselves. It’s about how life has so many beautiful moments and opportunities but too many people (including us) find themselves on a dark path of destructive habits, which numb both the darkness and the light."

Check out the video premiering below, which sees the band giving it their all to the backdrop of some eye-catching visual effects:
