  • Minor Threat Reunite to Replicate Iconic Band Photo

    Even if you haven't ever listened to them, chances are you've at least heard the name Minor Threat being thrown around at some point. Forming in 1980, the groundbreaking band have been credited with starting the straight edge movement (no drugs, alcohol or tobacco) and have somewhat become cultural icons in hardcore punk music ever since.

    While Minor Threat broke up in 1983, their final EP Salad Days managed to see the light of day two years later in 1985 and its album art became an iconic shot of the band:


    Now, 33 years later, bassist Brian Baker has taken to Instagram to reveal the guys had recently got together again to almost perfectly recreate the image:

     It's wishful thinking, but a new Minor Threat album would be kinda cool...although they've all probably got pretty grown-up things to keep them busy now; guitarist Lyle Preslar is a lawyer and frontman Ian Mackaye is probably super busy running his Dischord label too!
