In case you missed it, death metal supergroup Bloodbath are due to release their fifth album The Arrow of Satan is Drawn on October 26, and boy are we keen! On top of their

On top of giving us a morbid first single 'Bloodicide', the band have now dropped a second violent cut from the album titled 'Chainsaw Lullaby', along with a very gritty video with old VHS horror/slasher film vibes. If you've been needing something new to headbang to like it's nobody's business, it's right here:

Guitarist/vocalist Anders “Blakkheim” Nyström had this to say about the track:

“I wanted to keep it really simple and uncomplicated whilst retaining an evil groovy drive to make the song engage in headbanging action and sing along exercises. Having started a ‘red’ thread, I then locked in the chainsaw concept as a dual tribute to the Boss HM-2 guitar pedal sound as well as my love for the horror slasher genre and had both the music and lyrics going at the same time. I’ve always been a fan of lyrical paradoxes and the song title was just waiting to happen.”

Forming in 1998, you might think that five albums in 20 years is a rather lazy output from Bloodbath, but considering that its members also happen play in KatatoniaOpeth and Paradise Lost, you can understand how they'd have other things on their plate between albums!
