As Linkin Park gear up to release their Hybrid Theory 20th Anniversary Edition on October 9, the band have released the demo version of the album's most successful track 'In The End' - and it probably sounds a bit different to what you were expecting!


While the instrumentation of the final song is largely intact (albeit missing some production bells and whistles), the lyrics rapped by Mike Shinoda are almost completely different to the version we all know and love today.


It's super weird to hear 'In The End' presented in any other way, but it's also a fascinating peek into the Linkin Park vault, and undoubtedly just a taste of things to come on the rest of Hybrid Theory 20.

'In The End' helped propel Hybrid Theory to legendary status, making it one of the best selling albums from any artist of all time, with an estimated 27 million copies to date. The tune also ticked over 1 billion views on YouTube earlier this year, making it the band's second to do so after 'Numb'.
