John 5 Talks New Rob Zombie Album!

    POSTED

In a recent interview with Revolver, guitarist John 5 has shed some light on what's going on with Rob Zombie's latest record!

The followup to 2016's The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser (yep, that's the album title) doesn't have a release date yet, or track names, or a title. What we do know however is that it was recorded at Rob Zombie's place in Connecticut, and LA.

Regarding what we can expect from the new record, John 5 commented:

How we did it — and I'm gonna start from the beginning — is what we usually do is me and Rob will get together and we'll work on music and then he'll go away and he'll write lyrics and melodies. This time he started with lyrics and melodies and then I came in and I did all this crazy, crazy music around it. And Rob did, too. So the melodies were already done and the lyrics were already done and I was putting all my music around it. And it worked out phenomenal. I just wish it didn't take 13 years for us to figure this out!

Find out what else John 5 had to say about the record, and his thoughts on touring with Marilyn Manson who he used to play guitar for back in the day now over at Revolver.
