As any self-respecting maggot would know, Slipknot are gearing up to release their seventh studio album The End, So Far on September 30. On Friday the band shared another taste of the record in the form of the slow-burning anthem Yen showcases the exceptional range of Slipknot and sees one of the world’s most popular and deeply enigmatic bands relentlessly charting new ground as they continue to redefine, revitalize, and reimagine the scope of rock music. The moody nature of Yen got us reflecting on the Slipknot songs that we turn to when we find our souls in need of soothing. These are the slow-burning songs that hit us hardest in the feels, crank them up and grab a box of tissues, coz your emotions are about to get a real workout.
