We've been waiting three years since Dream Theater's last double-album sprawler The Astonishing, and now it's been revealed we only have to wait another few months with the announcement of their 14th full-length effort Distance Over Time!
Slated for a February release, the prog masters have announced a whole run of US tour dates in March to support the album, so we might even get some Aus dates later next year! You can hear a short snippet of fiery new material in the teaser clip below:
In a recent interview with Metal Wani, keyboard player Jordan Rudess gave an update on the album's progress:
"Right now, we're mixing it. It's being mixed as we speak," keyboardist Jordan Rudess told in a recent interview. "It sounds awesome. I'm so excited about it. There's a very, very strong energy around the band these days. We all feel very connected and excited about what's coming."
