'Tis the season for Christmas carolling. For those who can't quite fathom the thought of enduring yet another choir belting out a slightly out-of-key version of Deck The Halls or Carol Of The Bells, then may we introduce you to your new hero, Aaron Gage.  The YouTuber and very talented musician has done us a favour more solid than your families age-old Christmas pudding, by creating alternative versions of these two jolly but overdone carols, performed in a style more suited to our metal palates.  Gage has done the devils work, uploading a video of Deck The Halls in the style of Black Sabbath's War Pigs and Carol Of The Bells in the style of Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit.  We know what you're thinking, those are two BIG songs to be messin' with and we agree, but what Gage does with them both is honestly, bloody impressive. Check out both videos below!

After listening to those two, we've never wanted to go solo carolling more in our lives, Maniacs, unless of course you want to form a choir, explicitly for the purpose of belting out these two renditions all around this great southern land, if so, hit us up, we'll be the ones cranking Korn's Jingle Bells from our old Toyota Yaris.

Speaking of Christmas, if you're still looking for gifts, don't forget to check out our Maniacs store!

If these two covers got you in the mood for some more metal Christmas tunes, you could do worse than to pop on over to Spotify and listen to the metal songs playlist.
