BATMETAL originally started out as a simple animated tribute to the cult Adult Swim series Metalocalypse back in 2014, then returned with an even better sequel BATMETAL RETURNS a year later. Both mashups proved popular, racking up tens of millions of views since then.

Now, the third and final installment aptly titled BATMETAL FOREVER has finally been released and it's really in a league of its own in terms of animation quality and detail. There are all sorts of visual references to characters from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Rick and Morty, The Little Mermaid and even the video game Overwatch as Batman and his friends rip through Dethklok's song 'Awaken' in an attempt to literally awaken the Joker.

There is also a crowdfunding campaign to a series of holographic BATMETAL concerts to life at the end of the year, but they're currently way off their £450,000 goal. We hope it can be done!
