    Dr. Colossus band

You may have heard of Okilly Dokilly, a metalcore band which base their entire existence around The Simpsons character Ned Flanders, but have you heard of Australia's own Dr. Colossus?  This Simpsons-themed doom band from Melbourne have been around quite a few years but have recently turned heads around the globe with new music and shows.

Their most recent offering is in the form of Lard Lad taken from their EP I'm A Stupid Moron With an Ugly Face and a Big Butt and My Butt Smells and I Like to Kiss My Own Butt which came out on 21st May.  This epic and progressive tune takes the listener through a five-and-a-half-minute journey of "A Lard Lad enraged," whereby "Brockman turns violent."

The third EP from the group not only landed the band international attention but charted at number 20 on the ARIA Charts the week after release.  It features songs such as Sex Cauldron, So Long Stinktown and Space Coyote; a single they released earlier in the year.

We also highly recommend checking out their video for Baby On Board which they dropped via their YouTube channel last year.

Dr. Colossus is made up of Dr. Jon (Vox & Guitar) Dr. Leg (Lead Guitar), Dr. Skin (Drums) and our personal favourite, Dr. Love (Bass & BV).  They were supposed to headline a sold-out Stay Gold this weekend but thanks to the 'rona and current capacity limits, they're postponing to hold the show when they're able to have all ticket holders in.

Check out the lyric video for Lard Lad below and keep updated on all things Dr. Colossus via their Facebook Page.
