Before Vinnie Paul passed away back in June, his band Hellyeah were scheduled to play at Aftershock in Sacramento. Instead of cancelling altogether, a special set was performed as a tribute to Vinnie at the event, where members of Deftones, Kyng, GWAR, Hellyeah , Godsmack and Korn jumped on stage to collaborate a performance of a bunch of Pantera classic such as 'Walk', 'A New Level' and 'Mouth For War'.
Unfortunately, there is no known pro-shot footage of the special set yet, but you would imagine that with this many guests, some will have to surface soon. In the meantime, here's some decent fan-shot footage of Davis performing 'Walk' alongside Godsmack's Sully Erna:
Vinnie Paul's passing came as a shock to the music world after he left us at the age of 54 at his home in Las Vegas, caused by coronary artery disease.
Listen to Pantera now.
